Covid-19 and young people.

The CDC reported that 21% of patients hospitalized from Covid-19 arebetween the ages of 20-44.

Doctors are warning of a potential connection between vaping and coronavirus complications.

If you, or someone you know, vapes or smokes there is now even more immediate reason to quit. The same is true for substance abuse.

Quitting smoking and vaping.

The good news is there's help.  Sit to Quit, the mindfulness based smoking cessation program, complete with videos, workbook, meditations, and 5 online coaching chats, is a highly effective way to quit smoking.  Little research has been done on how to quit vaping but it's reasonable to believe that the nicotine habit of vaping could be treated in the same way.  Learn more.

And there's probably not a better time to learn mindfulness skills.  It helps reduce stress and anxiety, and increases emotional regulation even in difficult times. Sit to Quit is a win/win. Don't smoke/vape but want to live more mindfully and reduce stress?  Great idea. Learn more about reducing stress.

Marijuana smoking has also been implicated in leading to a greater risk of complications, as can any substance abuse because of the affect on the immune system.  Get help.
